I like the quietness of this. Meets the challenge well, but I suspect the low vote is due to the lack of crisp focus on the lion's head. Composition seems just a bit off-balance, but in looking at it, I'm not sure what to suggest to change it. I wouldn't crop off the left - I like that space there, but maybe had the umbrella been angled a bit more into the bottom of the picture? Not sure.

Trading Post - A very pretty shot here. Nice colors in the sunset. The blues could have been saturated maybe a bit more but overall nice colors. I think if you had gotten a bit lower when taking the pic you may have gotten a better silhouette of the mom. The girl is nice against the water but the mom is kind of hidden a bit much in the sand and the surf. Overall good shot and it looks like you caight the sunset at the right time.

Trading POst - A nice image overall. Nice flow on the outer pieces (I think maybe a bit of color would have been nice). Maybe a slightly different crop to either bring in the whole colored piece or to crop it out the same on the other side and show more of the upper pieces. Not sure. Nice detail though and you did a good job editing with the selective desat. Clean work.

O yes...its smooth. I love the still waiter and koi. The reflections are just perfect. I find the picture a little dark though (or is it my monitor?). This is surely serene. Hope this does well for you.8.

I quite liked this one, and thought it fit the challenge very well. Title was a little long. :-) I think you caught the light well and the angle is good. Would make a good shot for a tourist brochure.
