Halving the Seedby chaliceComment by Kelli: Trading post...
You've been staying up in the 5's quite nicely! This is a wonderful picture. Lovely colors. And that peek a boo seed is so cute. I didn't vote in this challenge, but this would have gotten a 7 or 8 from me. |

White Dahliaby chaliceComment by Melethia: Gorgeous! I LOVE the way it moves from the blown corner in the upper left down to the pure softness and the eye travels. Nicely composed, well exposed. Very nice shot all around! (I won't judge as to "abstract" or "macro" since I have a grasp on neither.) |

Halving the Seedby chaliceComment by Melethia: I like how the seed is hinted at - peeking out. Nice job of a solid, supporting background, as well, and the DOF is good to get both halves of the apple focused. I think I'd have preferred to see the face of the apple at just a bit more of an angle, though, rather than dead on towards the camera - it would add a bit more texture that way. |

Fishingby chaliceComment by Melethia: A perfect kind of shot for this challenge - meets the description but has interest - something more than just a tree. May be a tad on the darkish side. A quick check in Photoshop shows you could add a little using levels and/or curves to bring out the colors/detail more. Excellent composition overall. |

Purple Dahliaby chaliceComment by Ivo: Beautiful flower shot. Very many of them in this challenge and you've been able to capture purple without sythesizing the image. Good luck! |

Purple Dahliaby chaliceComment by hideout: I wish this had a symmetrical balance of light, the darker portion at the bottom makes it seem as though the flower is downward facing. Although the purple tones are more intense in this choice. |
