Moonlight Melonby ShutterPugComment by thomaspeople: The only criticism I can make is that I would have centered the subject in the frame. On the other hand, since it is offset in opposition to the light source, maybe this was better.. Excellent shot - 8 |

Early Retirementby ShutterPugComment by 2Shay: ShutterPug, this is a really clever idea. It shows Independence and is nicely shot. Once I saw the ID number, I had to go and find out who it was. I hope this does better for you than your "Zoo" entry! ;-) I'm giving you an 8 for originality! |

Monkey Businessby ShutterPugComment by srbrubaker: I find that when I go into the yard to take photos of things I inevitably find weeds in the way and few photos get started without some preliminary weeding. In this case, I think a pruning sheers would have helped much, for the subject is upstaged by ten brightly lit leaves. And speaking of pruning, I'm not finding anything in the left third of the photo that adds anything. The subject has a cute face and is placed very artfully in the tree. Unfortunately the harsh lighting keeps us from seing any textures in his coat - especially in the shadows. So the subject ceases to be a stuffed animal, but becomes a caricature of a stuffed animal. This might have worked tho your advantage if somehow the rest of the photo had been made a caricature as well ( not sure what this would mean in practice.) |

Moonlight Melonby ShutterPugComment by DustDevil: I love the idea. I had a simular one with a round sponge and putting a lightbulb in side of it to get it to glow. Never did it. But enough of that. Very sharp and crisp. I would have liked to see it cropped differently more to an upper corner but that is just me. I gave it a 7. |
