any purposeby undieyatchComment by admart01: The tones and backgroud are outstanding, crop, as always, just perfect --- I'm off to check out that plugin :) |

I stumbled upon this in search of images from the Canon 135 soft focus lens. Everything I am encountering shows a sharp lens, maybe well worth the $265 price I've found. |

sumacby undieyatchComment by KaDi: This is my favorite...if I were choosing this would win.
But, I'm pretty sure it won't...sorry.
I love the colors! The play of green on red and red on green really captures the concept of complementary colors--it challenges the eye--it teases the senses--and yet, it is so true to nature!
The textures are wonderful!
The details in the leaf veins delightful!
The beginning of sumac turning...not so obvious when all the world of sumac is shouting out before the un-turned trees to look at me, look at me!
How delightful and delicate this image!
How sweet its composure!
How fine its lines!
How garish its colors!
Thank you for presenting such a bold and daring portrait of autumn! |

sumacby undieyatchComment by macrothing: 8 - Nice. Criticism; not much, maybe not so tight a crop, but this is nice as is. The 'bokeh' is very good, especially for the Challenge. Maybe somehow a little more 'sharp' on the veins/edges. Frame doesn't suit in my opinion. edit:typo Message edited by author 2005-10-12 06:51:26. |

Bouquetby undieyatchComment by Shan2112: I just wanted to say that I am shocked that this did not place higher and believe it is because so many thought it did not meet the challenge when clearly it did - in fact it was one of the most original "ground up" ideas in the challenge. A bouquet of flowers. They were just in the ground...and now they are up! I really wish this had done better - it deserved top 20 at least - in my opinion. :) |
