Narrow Guage of Interestby RistyzComment by jerryc12: Nice picture but two problems for me. 1. Two subjects. I am torn between the train and the group of people. 2. Sky color looks unreal, maybe photoshopped. |

Narrow Guage of Interestby RistyzComment by Ken: Your picture has a lot going for it; especially the contrast between the smoke, mountains, and sky. However, the smoke seems to overpower the train a bit. |

Narrow Guage of Interestby RistyzComment by Melethia: Oh my! I think you spelled gauge wrong (how's that for nitpicking?) but this is a striking picture. Nice composition with the steam/smoke echoing the shape of the hill; nice color as well, except the sky doesn't seem to quite match the toning of the rest of the shot (though I'm sure it was that color.) |

Narrow Guage of Interestby RistyzComment by glad2badad: I like your take on this with the photo getting the train on the move away from you. Yours is the only one like that in this challenge. Hopefully it wasn't a mistake (had to change the battery, etc...). :D It's kind of cool the way the smoke forms a diagonal line across the image. Then the distant tree line and hillside act as a stopper and bring you back to the train (at least for me). Hey! I just noticed at the distant tree line - a line of people? I only discovered this because I was wondering how this would look cropped in a bit and I was about ready to give you kudos for NOT cropping it. Now I see another reason why you didn't. Fun image to look at. Hope it does well for you - good luck. |

Narrow Guage of Interestby RistyzComment by Maverick: You've got the background captured well but it's kind of tough to make out much detail in the train with its distance from you and the brush in the way |

Narrow Guage of Interestby RistyzComment by tpastore: Interesting picture. I would have loved to have seen more of the train....either the engine or the caboose. I may have also looked for a perspective that did not include the crowd. They tend to draw your eye away from the main subject. |
