Dreamscape IIby AlexSaberiComment by PhilipDyer: Okay, I'm going to hold out and see if we don't get a couple of disqualifications. If not, then I guess I'll need a list... ;-) Very nice setup, Alex, and excellent processing.

GUANGZHOUby AlexSaberiComment by v5planet: I suspect a lot of the post-industrial world probably looked exactly like this 100 years ago. It's all that coal burning. I think this is better as a story-telling photo than a "wow" image - it's merits seem to rest more on what's NOT there because the smog is hiding it than what's visible (the slightest hint of some foothills visible behind that smog, for instance, makes one wonder if there'd be a mountainous vista if not for the belching of fumes). |

Umbrella Downtownby AlexSaberiComment by v5planet: I've been perusing your portfolio for a good 30 minutes now haha. I must say, you've really captured some great moments in your Japan series. Surprised there aren't any of those transparent umbrellas in this photo, as popular as they are in Japan. The colors are great. |

Kinkaku-ji - Golden Pavilion Temple by AlexSaberiComment by v5planet: Excellent job taking this photo without getting any tourists in the frame. I remember when I went to Kinkaku-ji there were THRONGS of people all jumping over each other to get photos, but I guess they mostly cluster on the shoreline left of your photo. This is an angle you don't see very often, but I think you've captured it quite well. By the way, did you have time to visit Ginkaku-ji? |
