Grass in the sunsetby GoatfatherComment by Jacko: Great set up. More focus on the subject would have made this shot breath taking. I love the shallow depth of field. Jacko |

Grass in the sunsetby GoatfatherComment by HBunch: Very nice close up of the grass. I think that the angle and framing/cropping are good, and the lighting conditions are perfect. the background is very pretty. what is the blue/green toward the bottom. looks too blue to be grass, but too green to be water. don't matter, the colors are great. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~ |

1896by GoatfatherComment by Kimbly: I take back my dark comment. Looking at it on this monitor I can see the amount of detail I want to see. The other monitor is just dark. |

1896by GoatfatherComment by samwise: I like the sun shining through the window, but why is this something old? |

1896by GoatfatherComment by Gracious: This has a certain appeal...blue, cloudy sky, pointy silhouette. I love the light shining through the facade. But for the title there is nothing that says "Old" to me though. |

1896by GoatfatherComment by nightfall: this is an awesome picture. I love how the sun is coming through the window of the house. that really makes the picture stand out from all the other silhouetted shots out there. great job with the lighting. |

1896by GoatfatherComment by Hendrik: I would have said, forget about 'Something Old' (I presume 1896 is the building's date) and just go for a stunningly good sunrise/sunset shot. Dropping the exposure to make the buildings completely black silhouettes would have made for an astounding picture IMHO. It might not have been applicable to the competition, but hey. who cares if its a 10+ picture anyway! |

1896by GoatfatherComment by UberFish: I like the sun through the building, I feel it could use a bit less sky, and the tree on the left is unfortunate. Is this the same building as the other 1896 photo? I guessed that was in Iceland, but maybe I was wrong. |
