Well, the score for the hand in the ball is 24 comments in favor and 10 comments opposed (at least counting those comments that explicitly mention the hand).

I shot two versions of the picture, one with the hand and one without, but I thought that the "action" of turning off the light helped meet the "strong point of the image, but only occupying a very small portion of the image space" as stated in the challenge.

This was my first challenge submission, so thanks for all the comments!

I like the basic concept. It tells a story, of sorts. Nits: the glare from the top sign is very distracting. Tthere might not be much you can do with it, but you might have tried applying a color filter to it before converting to black and white to see if you could dim it or at least enhance the contrast on the lettering.
