Very cool (pun intended) image. Did you freeze the ball then let it melt some? Great idea, nice lighting and color tones. Even like the overexposed white spot on the front, helps show its metal.

Dancing in the darkby Netwalker100Comment by L2: I had to look at this shot for several moments before I figured out the blobs of light was actually a face, even with the title to help. I think this shot would have been stronger if the entire face was lit, the exposure was longer, and the motion blur was limited to rotation rather movement across the frame. |

Dancing in the darkby Netwalker100Comment by Bebe: Great concept, but I would have like to have seen a different composition. I lke that there is space on the right, giving space to go. I know it goes against the rules, but I would have liked to have seen it perhaps a bit further down, perhaps almost centered, vertically. |
