How simple! Why didn't I think of something like this? It meets the challenge head on. I would have straigtened that lamp shade a little though, or did you put that angle on it on purpose? Also a tad unsharp.

This photo just doesn't work for me. The soft focus in this case doesn't add anything to the photo, and the lamp is crooked in the frame, as is the lampshade. I'm assuming that the electric cord is the "leading line", but it detracts more from the shot than it adds, and does not really fit the definition of the challenge for me.

Very good use of the chcallenge theme. I liked that your subject wasn't a tiny image at the end of a road, etc. Don't know if I like the red shade or the tilting lamp, but it's certainly interesting.
