I'm sure you'll get panned for the negative space - and indeed it took me a few moments to get the hang of it myself, but the extent to which it adds a feel of isolation, loneliness, to this image is marvellous. Emphasises something which has been missed by almost every entry, which is the longing and sadness implicit in the word Nostalgia. Top work again JJ.

Very interesting. The picture is quite clear (at least to my not always so terribly good eyes) all the way from the front to the way back. I love the crop. The big, empty (but not so empty - with the paint and cracks and leaves and so on) space in front is quite fascinating, and the top part of the picture, with the man sitting there looking at a photo (is that what he's looking at?), with the line of trees on each side, all the leaves on the floor - this is just right for nostalgia. It's making me homesick right now, even though I don't know what for. I love the sepia tones - they, and the picture, are very well done. My favourite! ~10

would like to see this cropped higher, maybe about where the shadow changes the color of the grass. so that 2/3 of the frame is net, instead of 2/3 being grass. right now the eye is drawn to the strong horizontal of the shade on the grass, not to the soccer game.
