I'm sure you'll get panned for the negative space - and indeed it took me a few moments to get the hang of it myself, but the extent to which it adds a feel of isolation, loneliness, to this image is marvellous. Emphasises something which has been missed by almost every entry, which is the longing and sadness implicit in the word Nostalgia. Top work again JJ.

Very interesting. The picture is quite clear (at least to my not always so terribly good eyes) all the way from the front to the way back. I love the crop. The big, empty (but not so empty - with the paint and cracks and leaves and so on) space in front is quite fascinating, and the top part of the picture, with the man sitting there looking at a photo (is that what he's looking at?), with the line of trees on each side, all the leaves on the floor - this is just right for nostalgia. It's making me homesick right now, even though I don't know what for. I love the sepia tones - they, and the picture, are very well done. My favourite! ~10

Composition: Would have preferred the subject more in the centre of the image, and larger if poss.
Technical: Nice use of leading lines and nice coloursiation. It looks like it could be rotated a little CCW?
Meets challenge: Yes
Overall impression: I think I'd have gone for a more sombre title, but nice idea.

I don't see how this huge piece of empty space in the fore adds anything to the photo (if it doesn't add, it detracts).

Good interpretation. However, I do think that the composition could hve been stronger by cropping the foreground and bringing the subject into the "thirds rule".

Far away look need not be so far away in the picture.

I'm a bit baffled as to why there's so much negative space. My eye doesn't know where it's supposed to focus. 4

I like the layout here. I don't know a lot of tech terms, but this photo makes me feel the nostalgia. The cracked pavement, craggy barked trees, old man alone on a park bench looking at pictures.......works for me. Good job.

Way too much negative space.

wonderful shot. the longer i look - the more i like. the stark, bare pavement is works well with the old man in the shot - the parallels are there imo. the composition is there, and the b/w works well here. nice work.
