This is very moving - in more ways than one, Rachel - and I was touched by your photographer notes as well as the capture. Paul is so right. And be sure to include yourself in as many photos as possible - pass the camera off, set it up and use a remote, use mirrors, whatever it takes.

Well there is in a way, and you're already doing it: photographs preserve and cherish, and are the only way we mortals can save time in a bottle. Photographs fix his footprints through your life, and yours through his. I wish I had taken more such photographs.
