Faris' Pondby vtruanComment by scottwilson: First off that fact that it is in color does not bother me one bit. I like the time of day you took this at, good lighting on the mountains. The tree in the foreground at the left is a bit distracting. Seems like maybe a bit too much sky and not enough mountains? I like the moon in the upper corner. |

Faris' Pondby vtruanComment by NovaTiger: I probably don't need to say anything about this. I bet you'll be getting a load of remarks about the color. Nice shot, though, anyway. Personally, I would have cropped out the moon or else tied to have taken the photo when it was closer to the mountains. |

Faris' Pondby vtruanComment by seriocomic: Beautiful shot. You are probably going to get criticised for the color. The sky would have been very dramatic in black against the moon and the white mountain tops. It's also a shame about the tree to the left encroaching into the shot. The horizon line seems about 1-2 degrees out of horizontal as well. 7. |

Faris' Pondby vtruanComment by strangeghost: Superb image. The deep dof gives it a feeling of majesty and scope. The last quarter moon is a huge bonus. Given the tree branches in the foreground, that's a quarter-million mile dof! I hope you don't get hammered on your decision to keep the color. My first 8 of the challenge. I'll be back later to adjust. |

I am sure Ansel did lots of pictures in colours too. I just hope this will not pull you down, being the only one having the courage to submit in colour. Good look. |
