I was not able to vote on this challenge, but if I had, I probably would have given you a 6 or 7.

Wow, what a georgeous photograph. I'm dissapointed it didn't score higher. Just stunning. I love all the busy-ness in the sky and in the water. The colours are wonderful, and the bright white star does stand out well against the blue sky. I'm guessing the reason it didn't finish higher was because either the star was missed by many, or they felt it was not a strong enough element in an otherwise beautiful photo.

First impression: Nice range of color from the blue to the orange, and I like the jagged mountain edges and the depth of the two mountains. I also like the contrast of the soft clouds and the harsh mountains. Very simple, and no real focal point, which isn't a bad thing, but not something many DPC voters will go for.

Further reflections: Not sure what you could have done to improve this one since it seems like it was shot on a whim and not something you set up intentionally. Your processing is good, just seems that it didn't have that 'wow factor' to garner a higher score from voters.
