Time Marches On...by CoozComment by Jeileen: Interesting subject. IMO, a different light may have enhanced the detail and color of the wood. I like the composition. |

Time Marches On...by CoozComment by Gringo: This has some great potential. It's a very good composition, but is is missing some of the richness in the shadow areas. (This would also make a great black/white). 6 |

Time Marches On...by CoozComment by dartompkins: The color is very flat here. I don't know if that is what you were going for, but I think it either needs to be black and white, sepia, or much richer color to work. The barn is interesting, but might be more interesting with a bit looser crop. It seems a little crowded. The detail in the grass/wheat is nice. |

The Getawayby CoozComment by ubique: Congratulations, Curt, on your highest rating image so far. I'm very pleased to see that several other commentators applauded your quirky but effective use of light in this photograph. I just took a look at your profile, and I love all of your top three entries; this was not a fluke! I encourage all other browsers to take a look as well. |

The Getawayby CoozComment by ubique: A very fine image. Love the composition and the unusual light. Exceptional tonal range from deep black to pure white, with clean, visible detail at every point (I peeked at the histogram; it's weird lookin'). And of course the subject escapee is brilliant for this challenge. 9 |

The Getawayby CoozComment by lynnesite: Independent little two year old, eh? Your photo gives the impression that she is totally alone, without supervision, making a successful getaway. I like how she's leaving the frame, too. |

The Getawayby CoozComment by Kavey: Intriguing, especially with her face hidden in the shadow ... yet that works as it makes it more anonymous and therefore more universal. I like the diagonal and the unusual lighting. 8 |
