I am nowhere near as technical or soulful as haneck, but I do agree with what she said....this is lovely and your creativity shines int he lovely sky. It looks like such a serene scene, as the surfer communes with the sea before he heads in...or did he just come out?

This is just exquisite. The beach is such a common subject to photograph... I think because of how beautiful it really is. But it is so difficult to capture that beauty. Pretty soon all the beach/sunset shots start to become a dull clique. You don't have periphreal vision with your camera of course, so, short of distoring everything with a wide-angle lense, the atmosphere you feel when you are actually there is virtually impossible to capture. But I think you have, at least started to, capture it here. Which is why I really, really love this. Something about the colors of the layers of waves, the motion you captured, the sky... It's really beautiful. Great work! :)

I'm glad you are happy to get the rain! I personally am sick of the sight of it, but that's because it's all we've had (or snow!) for many many months now. He looks like he's running to get out of the rain, having just put his umbrella down. At least it seems warm enough to be out in just shirt sleeves, even if it is raining. I think this one works well in black and white too.
