Aaaargh! It rained again today, so I'm sitting here going through one of my hard drives looking for stuff I haven't used.

This didn't come out at all the way I expected. The clouds were taken early this morning. I applied them to the original image and liked the result in the sky so much I just left things as they were and erased a lot of the layer over the sea and guy on the surfboard.

The original shot was 2.5 seconds. I'm surprised the guy sat still for that long.

This has a beautiful restful feel to it - the cloud overlay goes very believably with it.

Great composite and lighting! The colors are beautiful and I love the softness of the water.

I am nowhere near as technical or soulful as haneck, but I do agree with what she said....this is lovely and your creativity shines int he lovely sky. It looks like such a serene scene, as the surfer communes with the sea before he heads in...or did he just come out?

This is just exquisite. The beach is such a common subject to photograph... I think because of how beautiful it really is. But it is so difficult to capture that beauty. Pretty soon all the beach/sunset shots start to become a dull clique. You don't have periphreal vision with your camera of course, so, short of distoring everything with a wide-angle lense, the atmosphere you feel when you are actually there is virtually impossible to capture. But I think you have, at least started to, capture it here. Which is why I really, really love this. Something about the colors of the layers of waves, the motion you captured, the sky... It's really beautiful. Great work! :)
