Nice. The perspective stops the two from really competing for attention, because the one in the background is a little smaller and not in focus. I like the composition, colours and the background is subtle.

very well done. i like the effect of what appears to be a mirror and the backside of the original flower. at least that is what i thought you did. a thin yellow border would have been nice.

I have a few criticisms of this pic:

1. It might have been nicer to get a shot of the animal in an environment at least similar to its natural habitat - this seems to be a table or floor.
2. The lighting is very harsh - clearly a lam,p held quite close to the subject.
3. I'm not keen on the thick border (this is more of a personal thing than a photography critique).

Having said that you've brought out the texture on the shell very well indeed.
