Oriental Dolls on Black Velvetby inspzilComment by banmorn: AHHHHHH....this is just almost perfect.....the lighting is exquiste as is the shot but the little piece of the robe(?) sticking out on its own behind the doll on the right is distracting....perhaps a better angle on the right side doll might have helped? Excellent otherwise. |

Oriental Dolls on Black Velvetby inspzilComment by darcy: i think there is a bit too much negative space here. interesting choice of subject. i don't know if the all black backround is helping entirely either. the closer and longer i look, the more i am able to barely make out that there are folds in the velvet cloth they are standing on. until i saw this, which is not really apparant, it looked as though these dolls were just floating. i gave it a 7 |

Head Shotby inspzilComment by moodville: I like the angle of the head in the frame. Unless this is an edited skull x-ray it seems very photoshoped to a point where I dont see much photography. This is certainly a classic subject for halloween. |

Oriental Dolls on Black Velvetby inspzilComment by jmsetzler: Very nice job with the lighting on this image. One thing you may want to consider on an image like this is the visibility of the surface. Your dolls appear to be floating in space. Personally, I enjoy a bit of anchoring on an image like this with some visible surface :) |

Head Shotby inspzilComment by Neuferland: I have skipped this one several times, my daughter saw it and loved it but when I see it, something about it just seems off to me. I can't quite put my finger on it, maybe it's the black on the chin and the lower left part of the skull, it might be the effects on the shot itself or the angle, I can't really explain it. I will come back again and try to figure it out but for now a 5 |
