The protest against the dam in Kárahnjúkarby marvinComment by agenkin: I don't think that the image captures the decisive moment here. THe people in the front are just chatting to each other; it looks as though they don't belong to the protest. Perhaps these are known personalities, and their sole presence "makes" the picture, but I don't know them. |

ITby marvinComment by ericwoo: Hey there from the Critique Club
Camera Work/Technical: Very interesting depth of field, as well as a strong conversion to black and white. The depth of field is the strength of this image, and it is exactly where it needs to be.
Lighting: I also like the lighting setup you used, creating a nice high-key feel to the image. At first, it looked a little hot to me, no pun intended with you trying to burn the house down and all, but after looking at it a bit, I like the lighting.
Composition/Content: The composition you created flows very well. It grabs the eye and draws it into the frame, while the depth of filed keeps it on the meat of the subject.
My Opinion: I think you were underscored. It is a very clean, crisp and simple shot that would probably sell nicely in stock. It is a very nice, technically strong capture. The only thing missing is the wow. I think this one still should have reached 6.
