Forgetting the fact that your model is ridiculously cute, this is a glorious photo. I love the monochrome and red colour palette but the perspective and context (relevant but not too cluttered) make it a simple but incredibly effective shot. The only thing stopping me from rating it 10 is that it doesn't pass the "i'd hang it on my wall test" - but that's personal taste and not your photo or interpretation. No doubt there's some miserable and clueless voters who will vote this 4 or less...but it's an outstanding shot both in composition and technically. Well done.

I have to be honest, I really thought this should have been in the top 5. It is a very creative shot with cool lighting and excellent shallow DOF to tell the story. I think you were penalized for not having a specific car, but I think you nailed this.

Aww cute. The highlights are blown, and the desat makes the dog look a little unnatural, and he/she blends into the packing a little. I'd like to see just a little colour left in the fur. I like the composition
