Dreamship - the Flying Dutchmanby johnmkComment by TooCool: I love what you were trying in this shot but the modern stuff ruins the effect for me. Maybe if you coulda moved around a bit or done more with the 'croping'... I do want to know how you got the nice round "framing" on this one. I know how it's done on film but how did you do it here??? Don't know if it woulda been possible from your potential vantage points but if ya woulda got just the tall ship and some coast and the roundness of the shot it would have been a 9! |

Dreamship - the Flying Dutchmanby johnmkComment by Neuferland: What a beautiful ship! Too bad you had to get all the other icky stuff in the background! If there was some way you could have made the sailing ship a little more transparent it would be close to a perfect shot. |

Dreamship - the Flying Dutchmanby johnmkComment by vonautsch: There's too much haze in this photo which is enhanced by the circle formed by the large black areas. I think it would be better cropped to remove the circle and the contrasts enhanced. |

Another ship? No, a buildingby johnmkComment by Neuferland: And what an interesting building. If you had focused more on that, maybe a bit tighter cropping I would have liked this one much better. Also the size of the picture itself really doesn't convey the size of the building even though you have the other ship to the left. |

Another ship? No, a buildingby johnmkComment by EL-ROI: Excellent landscape photo. (foreground, midground, and background clearly defined) The horizon is in the bottom third, which is a plus. Maybe the atmosphere is hazy, but this looks a little under-exposed. The trees in the foreground seem to be exposed the best, then it fades into the background. Possibly Intentional? |
