Reflections of Autumnby SJCarterComment by moondog: Real nice I have learned with the digital camera you can find beauty in small places. I shot 35mm for years you never new what the photo would look like until after you forgot what you did. |

Johnny On The Spotby SJCarterComment by Rikki: Sweet shot Jimmy! The image grain works well and perfectly for this image. The sky above the shack is overexposed IMHO so maybe a bit of burning is required. Love the nostalgia this image conveys :) |

Wraithby SJCarterComment by Rikki: Is this a Librodo portrait on acid? WOW! Great use of PS tools to emphasize your point. For some reason I would prefer seeing the eyes a bit more dodged so it stands out more. The grain really works well for this image. |

Reflections of Autumnby SJCarterComment by Rikki: Nice shot Jimmy! The colors are vibrant against the almost black background. the only improvement I can think of is rotating the image so that the leaves are at one of the bottom corners. It seems a bit off as I look at the image. There is a slight noise in the water but you might have intended that. Though the transparency is spot on :) |

Winter's Eveby SJCarterComment by tmhalling: I like the idea of this photo but feel the PP detracts from you intention. It looks like the photo may have been somewhat flat contrast and you tried to juice it up a bit. |

Reflections of Autumnby SJCarterComment by saintaugust: i love this one. at first i thought it was leaves falling from the sky, had to look twice. not sure if you intended it, but you got some kind of pastel effect in the water detail. overall great.. |

Slippy Repairman.jpgby SJCarterComment by tpoc: nice edit job! sounds lame, with all the amazing pictures you have in your portfolio, but this was the second image to draw my eye. love the fun composition and the slippy expression!

Hollowby SJCarterComment by tpoc: i love this photo. the color tones work well, and i like what the grain is doing to your eyes. there's a fragility conveyed in this image that's really appealing, and a great contrast to that urban grunge thing going on. no criticisms here, it works for me. |

Keine Lustby SJCarterComment by tpoc: great composition. like how the door provides a sort of negative space for the model (you!). the purple tone adds to the darkness, but i'm not so thrilled about what it does to the skin. like the grittiness, but if the goal is to convey an absence of desire, there's too much latent energy going on in the photo (imo). to me, the grain adds energy and the pose, looking off to the unseen, raises a lot of curiosity in me.
very groovy photo. |
