good choice of subject - nice colors too.

criticism:
-tree takes up slightly too little space for my tastes. cropping a bit from the top and left would have been okay.
-black border creates a very high-contrast area on the edges of the photo. this is bad, because contrast draws the eye, and so i find myself looking more to the edge than to the tree. notice that the magenta/black in the upper left has higher contrast than the lavender/black around the tree.

not too dark here. theres are some very bright white spots. very nice contrast an idea. would have liked to see just a hint of an eyeball. but still very nice.
