You're giving me the urge to try this...well, almost. :) Not sure I have the patience to work on this type of setup. I like the contrast on this one better than the first.

Keep having fun!

I like using mag lites for pics. I think I used something a little bigger than that for my tomato pic. The effect here for use in black and white gives some energy to the horse. The only thing different I think I'd like to see, if possible, is a tad more contrast to get the horse to pop out some more. (However, my screen colors are screwy at the moment so it could just be me.)

You ought to try a pic where you use reflections to your advantage. From the thumbnail, it looked almost like your glass had steam or mist swirling about it. That would be a fun effect to create!

very nice. You seem to be perfecting your technique. I agree that this one is a bit softer than the first.

I like the other one better for sharpness, but it is cool to see (and read about) the reflections being gone.

You definitely got rid of the reflections, and this is quite nice. I agree that the bottom of the bowl is fuzzy. You've also got some "banding" in the white near the bottom. There are still some minor reflections in the base of the glass. But all in all, this is definitely better than your first attempt. It does make a very cool shot.

Glad2badad is a gray Nazi!

The other guy ATAPE said light from behind the glass. Haven't gone back to try it myself yet. Maybe tonight. I actually like these ethereal looking reflections in the glass, if only they were just a bit more abstract so you couldn't make out what was being reflected.

I couldn't agree more! I seem to be able to recognize problems in a photo much easier than I can figure out how to make it better.
