Week 9: Marilynby WalesPComment by of-snow: Very sharp! What a great close-up. You did a wonderful job editing it to look perfect. She must have been thrilled to have such a nice portrait of her self and she looks great for her age! LOL! |

Huevosby WalesPComment by colorcarnival: Hmmm doing quite well now I see since you stole the brown ribbon from me :P This is very good. I love the lighting and the reflections. Beautiful detail on the egg shells as well. Congrats on the 6+ score! |

Week 10: Kimberby WalesPComment by Melethia: This is a very good portrait - very good focus for such shallow DOF (which is something I need to figure out and greatly admire those of you who pull it off.) Tell Kimber she looks quite wise - probably a lot smarter than her dad but at least smart enough not to let him know that. And she has great eyes and an awesome smile. I hope to see more of her in this side challenge, too. |

Week 9: Marilynby WalesPComment by Melethia: I saw the thumb and thought "she died, didn't she?" This Marilyn is very pretty and has quite the winning smile. I think you composed this shot very well. Nice work with the glare, and yes, the hair is a bit blown in places but really not that noticeable because her eyes and her smile keep your attention. |

Giocondaby WalesPComment by CapeSail: What a great concentration shot, that's really flexible to bend that far with your leg crossed. The candles and lighting work really well. |

Week 10: Kimberby WalesPComment by hajeka: Think I'm number three here that want/like such a lens. Probably because you made a great portrait. Perhaps a portrait size would make it look even better, but I'm not sure about that. |

Week 10: Kimberby WalesPComment by trevytrev: you have a lovely daughter and I want your lens:) I like this portrait but can't help but fee that I would like to see the glasses on the way on, or more tilted down. As they are now they run through the eyes and take away from her, imo. |

Week 9: Marilynby WalesPComment by trevytrev: I think the blown out harsh flash on the hair adds to the old film era feel with the bright flash bulbs always going off around her. Great smile and the lighting on the face looks nice. |
