Fern & Creekby WinkComment by ursula: What is the bright white area to the bottom right of the image? Is that the creek? I like it how the fern in focus has a smaller oof echo. |

Old Boat Houseby WinkComment by ursula: This is a cool place! I can imagine sitting on the porch there and just watching the water and the birds and whatever else is around there. I like the bigger house peeking through the trees behind the boathouse. |

All this time in the worldby WinkComment by Jutilda: I've come back to this several times without commenting. It finally hit me - this looks like Frank Langella. Has anyone ever told you that?
I like the duotone treatment. It suits the meditative, simple emotion of this shot. |

Winter leafby WinkComment by alexjack: This is a great shot, wonderful color contrasts and very effective composition - fantasitic job. I didn't vote in this comp but would have given it a high score.

Sidney pier, Winterby WinkComment by Greetmir: I love this shot. You transported me there. I do agree that a bit of a crop on the top (maybe just at the upper edge of the dark area in the middle of the sky?) would make this a more dynamic job and drag my eye down the pier to the turn and make it more ominous too. Just use your scroll bar on the right to put about the top eighth of the photo off the top of the screen to see what I mean. The top bright patch doesn't pull your eye away from the pier then and puts the turn in the pier bang on the rule of thirds. Most do not like the picture chopped almost exactly in half by the horizon (which is considered a photographic "no-no"). |

Bridge and Treeby WinkComment by MelonMusketeer: I like the way you use the bridge as a focal point in this image. This style gardening produces very relaxing and pleasing places to visit. It looks like you just missed getting the cherry tree in full bloom. |
