Well, Gladys ... it just goes to prove that one person's "perfect 10" is another's 2. To those who commented that this is too dark, I must ask; what do you want to see here that you are unable to see? Many people get confused about enjoining photos. One must judge too dark by the brightest point in the image, not the darkest. If this were lightened, the bright spots would explode beyond distracting. While certainly cool by tones, this is a very acceptable exposure that literally aids to put the viewer into a quiet, deep woods where they belong, in order to engage the photographer emotionally at the precise instant the shutter was tripped. This is not the beach. This is not joyous frolicing in sunshine. This is deeply thoughtful and contemplative, exactly where decisions dwell.
