Richard - A photographer friend of mine had this to say about my image above "There is technically correct and artistically correct - this is an artistic image". : ))) |

Samandirielby loveComment by yanko: A very engaging photo. For those saying the face is not sharp enough I have to ask why they feel that way. The key word being "feel". |

Samandirielby loveComment by Jaker: I didn't vote in this challenge, so I saw this in the before and after side challenge. Quite a striking image, and I think you made and excellent decision to conver to B&W. Crazy how from the thumbnail that scarf absolutely disappears! |

day4_after.jpgby loveComment by Ann: Good job getting the middle eastern look, out of someone who is definitely not middle eastern. Overall, it's very nice. I don't really like how the texture and color of the scarf blend into the wall behind her. I played with the original for a bit, and decided it's a very hard fix in basic editing, because the wall and scarf are so close to the same color. One thing you can do during the shoot, especially if you know you're going to B&W is to use a different colored scarf. In this case, a blue scarf would make it possible to adjust the brightness of the wall and scarf independently. |
