It could do with a bit more contrast, I guess you were looking towards the sun. Nice idea though.

Great idea with giving the bare minimum of the product and allowing the viewer's mind to put the pieces together.

Comment by Lustre:
Nice subject and composition although the photo is a little grainy. The black is a little washed out (perhaps levels in photoshop could have helped) and the yellow is showing some artifacts. Of course, depending on the camera (and or zoom) used you may have done quite well.

Composition (content)

Nice abstract image. An original approach on reflections from water. The result of the ripples distorting the already curved tree and tree branches is very nice.
The composition is very interesting. There is a kind of double antithesis in it (right vs left). You've got two fat trees on the right and two thinner ones on the left. The fat ones carry a lot of branches, where the thinner ones don't and leave room for a refreshing blue sky. The right side say's old and the left side young (young trees reaching for the bright blue sky, where the old ones try to prevent the growing of young ones by taking away the light).
Could also be cause by your position in relation to the trees and they might all be equally old, but the result remains the same.

Background
Good use of reflection.

Camera Work (Technical)
Good choice of aperture, the scene is a subject as a whole, so it need to be in the field of focus as a whole.
Good choice of shutter to avoid motion blur by the moving water.
Good exposure, reflections sometimes fools the meter.
Good focus and sharpness.

(Don't have a clue if you have control over those with an S30)

Digital Processing (technical)

My opinion
Original. Nice idea.

Interesting (confusing) shot! I really had to look at it to get the idea. (You're probably going go over the heads of many of the 2 second voters) Nice negative space, but IMHO, I think you needed a bit more of the lid so quick viewers could also get the idea. 7 Swash

Cute idea! Color is brilliant, especially against the darak background, and the angle works real well.
Without the title, it wouldn't be funny. There isn't a whole lot to draw me in, since it mainly is lacking a creative artistic point. I hope this all makes sense.
The potential is good. Bury a person in sand, and post this above him, or perhaps over a tombstone. It could be some dark humour.
