test_009.jpgby nomad469Comment by oOWonderBreadOo: this might look great with a midnight sepia action, you might want to check it out, just google it & I'm sure you can find it (if not PM me & I'll send you a link...) |

test_009.jpgby nomad469Comment by Jutilda: I like the idea of this. But I feel as if it's too dark to really inspire the viewer to study it further. The items in the passthrough behind her are distracting.
This would be cool in an outdoor spot, or with a tent, like a harem setting. |

test_009.jpgby nomad469Comment by Bear_Music: In the main, I quite like it. In seems to me it could be more luminous, glowing. Not a lot is needed, but a bit IMO. The floating brass band abogve her elbow is a major distraction for me. I like the shadows, there is a graphic quality they augment, a sort of stylization. I like the seriousness. But then, I hung out with dancers for many years. |

test_009.jpgby nomad469Comment by Ombra_foto: For me, not well.
The posing is inviting, but her face doesn't reflect the freedom of the dance.
The overall color seems dingy and lifeless and the shadows seem in the way. |

test_009.jpgby nomad469Comment by L2: With regard to composition - works well. With regard to exposure - sucessful in stopping the motion of the person while still showing the movement of the fabric. With regard to color space - seems a bit flat. With regard to visual interest - excellent. Overall impact is short of "wow" but long on creativity and ingenuity. I think this is due to the shadows on the belly - probably unavoidable I know, but it's just my opinion. I think I'd like to see a smile or different expression on the model. What I see is concentration rather than something more inviting. Hope this helps... |

johnny1.jpgby nomad469Comment by MAK: Well, its pretty damn good to tell you the truth, I think your parents will be very pleased with it. Its creative, unusual, it shows me his naughty side as well as his good boy side and his 'cool' side. technically its well done too. I might of been inclined to have a bit more space above his head on the top but its just a personal thing. |
