Face paint on an actress (assuming this is a woman), how assuredly a surface and a facade. The stark white paint makes an elegant contrast to the muslin clothing. Her pale red lips make a tender, underplayed focus point. Her expression is caught in full emotion. Serenely dramatic. Beautifully done.
My only quibble is with her out of focus hand. That and the brightness of it draws the eye away from rest of the image. If I may be so bold, perhaps a crop from the lower left to tighten it up. Just a suggestion.
Had there been such a crop this would have been a co-favorite in the challenge.

A bit too much colour, too busy for me.
And a few minor faults in the editing:
* left and below the tail of the yellow bird. a solid green patch with something (a leave?) in focus
* the way the red bird holds the branch with left leg does not seem right
* orange edges around the beak and head of the blue bird

was my first/second fav in the challenge .. Lydia's tucker was pretty cool ..
but the tortoises were too .. i had a hard time choosing which one i liked the most tbh ..

and i loved that you were able to get this awesome shot in the timeframe of the challenge ..
what were the chances .. ?? .. pretty slim i would have thought ..
altho the tortoises might like observing ppl playing golf from their vantage point at the pond ..

just imagined you spying them .. and thinking of this challenge .. altho lugging that huge lens around and playing golf .. a lot of weight right there ..
however .. i noticed in your nightmares challenge that you have very well developed shoulders .. so maybe carrying that lens .. just in case you see something awesome to photograph while golfing .. wouldnt be too much of a hardship ..

of course my 'back' story is probably so far from the reality .. it would be laughable .. hope it was .. a good laugh is never a bad thing . :)
