Foggy Morningby GolferDDSComment by camelotnorth: a lovely shot and negative space....I would not have centered the tree but maybe moved to the left.or cropped out bushy area on the left..then the plane from the bonzai tree to the light on the upper right would make the photo more dramatic IMO

Foggy Morningby GolferDDSComment by Imagineer: Composition too central for me. I think the feeling of space is lacking due to the bonsai being 'framed' by the landscape around it. An off-centre position (try blocking the overpowering left side out of vision - it looks better) would have improved this. |

Foggy Morningby GolferDDSComment by DougPaz: Nice Bonsai, looks like a Fukien Tea. This would be much improved if it wasn't sitting dead center in the frame. Moved over to the left and take out the rising slope there would have been much more dramatic. Good shot. |

Foggy Morningby GolferDDSComment by dsidwell: Placing the bonzai center makes IT the focus and suggests that IT is what we should be looking at almost exclusively. Using the rule of thirds would invite us to also look at its environment and would suggest that it belongs in this mysterious, foggy world. Your choice, of course, but I would experiment with moving it to one side or the other. 7 |

Inside And Looking Out (at you)by GolferDDSComment by justesme: Interesting image. However, I would have liked to see more of the drain pipe [being one of the most interesting subjects] and less of the wall on the bottom and right. I would persoanlly just chopped off all the bottom and right so the painting would be in the corner and see the full drainpipe. Half a drain pipe feels incomplete, I keep searching for the other half. Well done, Good try =) |
