Puppy Love (pure and boundless)by SteveSeeComment by hannafate: Same thing, but with the puppy on the right, so that he is looking into the image, would be much better. Then the empty space would take on some meaning, as the "place" the puppy is looking, pure and bright. |

I never knew such despair....by SteveSeeComment by blindjustice: You tell a story but look. If you go to the trouble to set it all up, at least put nice linens on the bed- the texture of the bare matteress is annoying. but you are better than me- and I give you credit for taking chances good look. |

I never knew such despair....by SteveSeeComment by tristalisk: I think I would have prefered it if the DOF was deeper and streatched to the other ring as well. This shot meets the challenge and is well done. Another thing I think would have made this shot a little more interesting would be to have the picture on the bed be a shot of the reason behing the separation. I.E. wife and pool boy, woman with a black eye or sutch. I feel that would have added a lot more power to this shot. Great shot as it is but I feel it lacks the power needed to carry a ribbon. |

Lossby SteveSeeComment by srbrubaker: Why is it that we find it impossible to believe that neatly coiffed men never experience pain? This makes it makes this harder to believe. The tension between the real , live, temporary sadness and the everlasting and ever-dead 'hope' of carved stone makes the photo interesting. |

Lossby SteveSeeComment by mycelium: Very strong entry. Colors and tones are fabulous- muted with hints of red are very appropriate. One of my favorites from this challenge. |
