Why is it that we find it impossible to believe that neatly coiffed men never experience pain? This makes it makes this harder to believe. The tension between the real , live, temporary sadness and the everlasting and ever-dead 'hope' of carved stone makes the photo interesting. |

Very strong entry. Colors and tones are fabulous- muted with hints of red are very appropriate. One of my favorites from this challenge. |

Good processing. Border a little heavy. Wish the face was slightly brighter. |

The body language of your subject is not that of someone in pain, It's more likely, he would be trying to withdraw from the world and curled up in a ball. good photo technique |

This is a moving photograph - and a great depiction of pain. Something about the "young-ness" of the guy -- and the poignancy of the name being "Hope". I like the picture a lot. It looks like maybe there was a little too much contrast from the bright sky, which makes the focus and the levels off when adjustments are made to compensate for it. I have had to learn that lesson the hard way. It's a hard problem to fix in a photo. But I really do like the picture a lot. |

This is a great picture, nicely composed, I like the touch of the red flowers (?) in the upper right corner. I hope this one will end in the top 10. (10) |

This is nice. I like the conflict of the title and the man against the word hope. Nice composition, a bit off-center, tight crop. The legs and arms form a triangle of leading lines that guide me towards the man's face. 10. |
