Nice detail to the ball here, but not exactly what I've been looking for in this challenge. Nice job however getting the detail in the white laces, fairly good lighting, just not what I think this challenge is about.

I don't like the title but love the shot. The title implies that you have to choose between the flag and the church and I don't see that to be the case. DOF is good but focus is a touch (take your pick) sharp or soft for moods I would try to read into this shot.

This is a good composition that shows it's meaning well. The overall photo could use some cleaning and the yellowish overtone could be reduced.

Although the references are lost on me (I'm not American nor did I play baseball as a child), I can appreciate that this does speak of a time past and likely is very nostalgic to the specific audience that it caters to. It's a wonderful still life and has elements of everything arranged nicely in an appealing composition. It certainly screams nostalgia, but it is visually appealing as an image outside of the challenge also.
