Sundae Bestby DougPazComment by jmsetzler: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Doug...
I think you did a great job with the setup on this shot. The spoon on the plate offers just the right amount of balance upset to make this image work very well. The blue background and the red tablecloth seem to compliment each other well in this shot :) It appears that this shot is lit more strongly from the right side of the frame. I believe that was a good choice :)
I can't really offer a lot of suggestions for improvement. The wrinkle in the background could possibly be vertical to improve it some, but other than that, I think you did a great job with this photo :)
Keep up the good work :)
John Setzler

Three Squareby DougPazComment by BJ: I like this shot - the composition, simple border and the way the shadows fall make it interesting. |

Three Squareby DougPazComment by PTLParsons: Great simplicity. The only problem with going with something so simple is things stand out and are to easily spotted. It would have been perfect had all your shadows been square. As it is only 1 is square. This jumps out and with the challenge title it cries for all to be square. Otherwise great idea with good execution. |

Puzzling Doorby DougPazComment by LindaLee: How cool is that??! I love the whole look! Nice color, and I love the crispness of the architectural details. The only thing I'm "iffy" about is the loose puzzle piece - it seems to be floating in the air, and I would have expected to see it laying haphazardly on the ground in front of the doors. |

Three Squareby DougPazComment by karmat: I like the use of negative space and shadows here. It looks like they are marching forward to me. I can almost see a little sphere/circle being "attacked" by the cubes here. :-) |
