Fits The Challenge-Very well.

Composition-simple/good example of negative space.

Background-fits the photo well.

Digital Processing-Good job.

My Opinion-I like you work Doug. Your photos are always done with thought and creativity. This shot is appealing to me because of the negative space and the simple composition. I had an idea simular to yours but didn't have the wooden cubes. The light and shadow is also good adding to this rich shot. Well done.

I would have liked it better without the shadows.

Love the shadow.

I like this shot - the composition, simple border and the way the shadows fall make it interesting.

Great simplicity. The only problem with going with something so simple is things stand out and are to easily spotted. It would have been perfect had all your shadows been square. As it is only 1 is square. This jumps out and with the challenge title it cries for all to be square. Otherwise great idea with good execution.

I like the use of negative space and shadows here. It looks like they are marching forward to me. I can almost see a little sphere/circle being "attacked" by the cubes here. :-)

I like the different shadow in this photo. The is too much negative space.

Composition: Good. Maybe subject is slightly too high?
Technical: Good focus and quality. Looks a little over sharpened (noise around the shadows?). Nice lighting too.
Meets challenge: Yes
Overall impression: Nice simplicity and a generally good pic. 7

I really like how the lighting you used on this picture came out. I think that alot more intrest would have been created by focusing closer on the squares and elminating all the white space. Good Work

Nice simple composition. Lighting and exposure are good, but the image doesn't really grab the viewer. Needs something extra to make it stand out from the crowd.
