Antlersby justineComment by justine: Yes.......I agree with everyone. Cut my own throat but didn't think folks would take it sooo-sooo seriously or so too the letter. It's okay.
Also.....ya know this wasn't the hand of MAN........I am a WOMAN!! lol

Antlersby justineComment by Swashbuckler: I know this was set up, but it never occurred to me that being set up by the hands of man would trip you up so badly. Alan said it well, anal scoring. I would have preferred this in a more natural setting, as if they had fallen off after winter. (I forget is it deer that lose their antlers, or elk?)

Hand Playby justineComment by PTLParsons: That is an awesome grip. Great shot. I love it. The focus is so crisp and poignant. The colors are great. This is an awesome 10 in my book. PTL |

Antlersby justineComment by HBunch: The black background appears to be "human intervention". I could be wrong about that, but it doesn't look naturally occuring. The angle and framing/cropping are very nice, and I really like the lighting on the antlers. They look very old. Good luck in the challenge. |

Retiredby justineComment by Bullwinkle: A very graphic representation of the tools of the trade. I am glad that you chose B&W over color. Hues can be overpowering often. The tones give an well felt clinical human edge. The highlight on the steth is a tad bright for my taste. I particularly like how you worked the instrument curves into the image. The white pills and the ear bits really pull the image composition together for me. A bold story well said. 8...bullwinkle |

Antlersby justineComment by FranziskaLang: awesome photo, but this looks very much like it was set up inside, and therefore does not meet my definition of the challenge (which, i know, is different from yours since you consider this to meet the challenge, but i have to vote according to my definition). sorry. anyway, that out of the way, i did want to give you feedback on the photo. i think it's totally cool how your have arranged the antlers and how old and weathered they look. they really could tell stories, i'm sure. very nicely lit, and great black background. just the right amount of space around without looking too empty. in a different competition you would get very high marks from me. :) |
