I'll be there for Christmasby AlainComment by mk: I think the setup idea here is good. It's suffering a bit from lighting problems. The candle flame is awfully bright and the front of Santa isn't very well lit. Perhaps a little more lighting from the front ot highlight his face? |

Nutsby AlainComment by CEJ: Very nice shot! The center of focus being the walnut helps. Good detail. DoF fits the shot nicely. Lighting is nice - not too severe but not too dull either. A happy medium. Well composed as well - not too distracting. Nice job! |

Homeby AlainComment by CEJ: Thought this was a clear image with very nice contrasting textures with the wood overall the strongest. The rest I thought only served to make the wood stand out - the branches almost acting as leading lines. Nice clarity and focus, good control of the natural light. |

Good DOF and Focus. Lighting works well here. The subject matter is not very interesting, but the contrasting lines and angles give a plus to this image. Unique.

On The Road Againby AlainComment by troberge: This picture certainly shows the mirage qualities of the heat rising from the road. It looks like a long lonely road for this trucker! I am not sure that the trees framing this shot give enough tonality to enhance the picture. |

Homeby AlainComment by amber: I like this. The vertical wooden planks contrasting against the horizontal brickwork. And both being contrasted against the natural curves of the tree. Nice subtle tones too;) |
