Ticket To Rideby lynnesiteComment by roadrunner1890: As a 44 year Beatles fan, I knew every song referenced in all the entries, so I was really looking for one that jumped out. This one did. I think the dogs are distracting and would have liked to have them out of the picture. I don't know whether this was a planned shot or target of opportunity, but it would also have been cleaner to not have the tree under the horse's front leg, though the silouhette is distinct enough that that's not a major problem. The peek of sun through the rider's hair is great. Unless the horse is a statue, that had to be fortuitous (or 300 shots till you got it just right). But dogs and tree aside, the horse and rider jump out, and that's the "ticket". 10 |

It has everything - drama, action, power, fragility... the imagery is like classical mythology! I don't read romance novels, but skiprow is right about this being perfect as a cover. It's certainly among the sexiest and most romantic images I've seen in a while. *swoons* |

87090dpc.jpgby lynnesiteComment by Skip: i have two takes on this photo. first, as an candid capture: i sense that this strong man is a bit out of his element; his look of uncertainty, and how he is rigidly upright, looking at the back of the horse's head rather than looking ahead or around at where he is. it's almost as if he's uncomfortable enough to not be enjoying the exhilaration of the moment. as a candid, this is exquisite.
second, as a stock image: except for the subject's posture/expression, this image rocks! the colors, lighting, action--wow! this type of image would explode off the cover of a romance novel. |
