Analog exif?by sir_bazzComment by MelonMusketeer: Nice face lighting. I miss the gentle way film handles color and dynamic range of the light. Good shot of a very real moment. |

Abbeyby sir_bazzComment by Steef: this might be a silly question, but is that film meant to be C-41 processed like Kodak bw400cn? i only ask because i've been recently starting to develop my own b&w and i didn't think it was possible to do such a thing.
regardless, this is beautiful. the lighting is great! |

Hi Chris,
Interchangeable backs? Sort of!! :) They're actually film inserts rather than backs. I have the 120 and 220 inserts and there's also one for 70mm but I don't think that film type is readily available anymore. I recetly saw a link to a 16Mp digital insert, (from China), but having trouble finding additional info.

btw how did you do you light metering on this? light/flash meter, guessing, testing with the digital slr beforehand? |
This shot was a single light setup so just did a quick test shot with the DSLR. I tend to only use the light meter for multi light setups when chimping with the DSLR is too slow :)

Originally posted by sir_bazz: Neat little feature is that it imprints shooting data along the edge of the film for each shot. Kinda like analog exif data. |
that's a really handy feature indeed, shame most camera's don't have it though...

Yeah I've read that the Pentax 645 was very popular in Japan but personally I find the format lends itself very well to portraiture. Guess I should try to shoot some landscapes during the month. :)
