Bethany Bridgeby rexComment by pawdrix: I don't know what camera was used here but I feel there's too much sky. I'd have like to have seen this bridge a bit tighter. |

Bethany Bridgeby rexComment by Sammie: Very nice lighting. Your picture might have had more punch if you had deepened the shadows and midtones a little bit with levels. |

Bethany Bridgeby rexComment by srbrubaker: Very interesting color - bridge and concret piers. Great lighting. I like the green reflection of the bridge in the water. The sky adds nothing. Also, I dislike it when strong background lines coincide with major lines in the subject - see where the mountain dips to touch the bridge. |

Country Roadby rexComment by Prof_Fate: Originally posted by blemt: I actually disagree on the the good light comment. I think this is very average, middle of the day light. That kind of light is very flat, and doesn't add anything to an image. ... |
Look at the shadows on the road of the fence - this is not middle of the day light. I agree that evening light is better. Perhaps some saturation or even hue (the grass could be more attractive - i know, it's winter). Did you try it in b&w?
This is the type of shot that ends up middle of the pack - like mine. Hard to comment on it - nothing drastically wrong or right, just not exciting or moving, it says nothing. Decent composition, decent exposure. More than a snapshot, but not something you'd frame or put on a calendar. Add something to the pic - a yellow ribbon on the sign or a hitchhiker or ... litter! Pain of Deathby rexComment by Erin_K: Might have been more effective with a more focused subject that conveys the pain to us.. a grieving relative, etc. Nice choice with B&W for this shot. |
