Goldenby rexComment by metoecus: The very slight angle here seems too obvious to be accidental but too subtle to be a compositional element. I'd prefer to see all of the tacks on the same plane or more decisively receding out of the focused portion of the picture. They also feel a bit too close to the bottom edge of the frame. |

This Old Houseby rexComment by Kathy: The color variations and lighting in the grass mad this one work for me. |

This Old Houseby rexComment by sofapez: too bad you couldn't of shot this at another time of day, when the sun highlighted the building instead of the grass. If it was cropped in more to the building under these conditions (and lit for that) .... |

This Old Houseby rexComment by cosmic: Very nice composition on this shot. I love the contrast of the bright green against the tattered building. The sunlight against the grass is somewhat distracting though. Perhaps with a touch of tweaking? |

This Old Houseby rexComment by saracat: Great color. The building being in shadow gives it more of an air of abandonment. Very nice composition. Good clarity. |

The Brave Unknownby rexComment by ClickNSee: Such a sad, sad story. My entry to the Cemetary Challenge was about confederate soldiers as well, except, being from NY, the confederate soldiers in my photos were dead prisoners. I'm really glad that there were a number of people who used the Civil War as their theme to this challenge. I very nearly did an "Unknown Soldier" site as well, but thought the story of John Jones was one I wanted to share.

The Brave Unknownby rexComment by bucket: I love the colours and detail, but find the background busy. Think this shot would look great if you cropped it way down, so that the focus would be on only the first stone-this may just be my artistic preference though..I would cut right down to just above 29 unknown...creating a little more mystery, juxtaposing with the vibrant life of the grass they once bloodied. |

Beginning Signs Of Springby rexComment by Matthew: Nice image. However, flower head is in shade, showing no contrast in flower head. Colour is consequently muted and contrast low. The focus seems a little off your central elements, but that may just need a bit of sharpening. |
