Bethany Bridgeby rexComment by marmalade1121: I'm a sucker for shots that aren't overdone in Photoshop. I enjoy the reflection in the water as well as the light graduation from the pillars (from dark to light). If you were to decide to Photoshop this baby I think the sky could use more saturation. Other than that I think this shot is fine...the lighting couldn't have been any better for you. |

Sunset Over Rydalby rexComment by bod: Exposure is well handled, but as a "subject" the trees aren't really strong enough. |

Reflectingby rexComment by arpita: A very nice example of the inversion idea. I think it works so well because of the extreme clarity in the reflections, and also the waterdrop/icicle like shape of the pawns... very nice! One thing I think might help this image is the changing the color balance to remove the excess yellow or just convert to b/w.. |

Reflectingby rexComment by biggusignoramus: are the pawns standing on a mirror with a chessboard hovering on top of them and then inverted the shot? |

Flowersby rexComment by rex: My self critique:
Ok the one thing that bothers me most about this photo is the botom where the leaves are cut off. It is almost like it just stops. I learned a lot doing this light on white and it is not as easy as I first thought. If I had the challenge to do over again I would back up a little to not cut the leaves off on the bottom. I do like how close to solid white I got it. I haven't been able to duplicate it. I probably can if I use regular paper again I have since started using foamboard. Foamboard doesn't seem to work as well.
