Fairly good capture. If you could include a 'story'/some background in your Photographer's Comments would be good - will check back 'later'.

Good capture. Perhaps a little more space at the bottom and less at the top, but depends what you had to work with, obviously, may have made this even better - just my opinion.

Nice composition. Can't help wonder about the color version, especially for the cat's eyes. 'If only' a fraction more space under the good tail shadow - but you likely know that.

Nice shot (and flowers) and composition. What a 'show' from such a (relatively) small plant.

Thanks Macrothing :) this particular plant is so difficult to photograph because the flowers remain closed until the sun shines on them directly, explains the angle and some overexposure. Nice of you to look in and comment :)

A very nice display and use of this plant. I know it as 'pig face', but that might be a misnomer. Comes in a larger variety too. Just did a quick search, here is more info if interested: Dave's Garden - Rosea Ice Plant 'Floribunda Purple' (Drosanthemum floribundum).

Here is a shot I took that partially shows this (or similar) plant ('blown' areas and quality not that good so don't look too close), although I think mine is a lighter color. The main flower you see is a dark pink Tree Dahlia (Dahlia tenuicaulis):

I gave this a 5. I know this plant (or at least a few varieties of it) and whilst you've captured it quite well, the freesias(?) dominated in this shot, in my opinion. There were a few 'blown' areas on the freesias as well. Most importantly for this Challenge, the texture(s) were not captured to their full potential - again, my opinion. Difficult with the 'composition' and angle you have here, but perhaps just focussing in on the 'ice plant' and the unusual textures of that, plus the boost with the colors, may have made this even better in my opinion. edit:removed 'TN', also, left a comment on your other shot of this plant.

Great free spirit feel with a lovely bed of flowers and then that majestic sky. Congratulations on your top 10 finish.
