The effect here is good and the lighting is satisfying. The idea is clever, however, by using a hanger wire and wrapping a part around your bicep and then you can use hot glue to place the card on the wire and now you can show the complete hand including the thumb. This is just a suggestion because evrything else about this image is great including the intense concentration and eye placement. I like it.

Very well done. I don't normally like sepia toned images, but this one really impressed me. The facial expression and pose are perfect, as is the focus on the card.

This image has so many good things going for it. It is simple, with great composition. The color is perfect and the the exposure of the subject and lack thereof regarding the background is excellent giving this an old world voodoo vibe. The intensity of the subject's gaze is riveting.
