Staccato stilled; bass line lingersby MelethiaComment by timfythetoo: Trading Post -
Nice shot Deb. This may have done better in a lines challenge. The angle and depth of this shot work really well. The colors are nice as well. Not sure what you could do to improve this. In advanced editing some spot saturation would have worked out well I think. |

Staccato stilled; bass line lingersby MelethiaComment by Rooster: This is a nice clean shot. I really don't think you USM-ed it too much, it seems just right to me. I think the angle is a bit off & perhaps the use of both the train tracks & the train competes with one another as the focal point as both have distinct repeating patterns. |

Mission San Jose, founded 1720by MelethiaComment by SandyP: This is a beautiful, historic photo! The ligthing is perfect, and the detail on that old, old brick work is amazing! I love the fresh potted plants to add an element of surprise. This is very much one of my favorites here!!! |

First let me say that you deserved a much higher score for this. Great perspective! I love the way it just vanishes into the sky. The colors are perfect. Great title tie in too. I would have given this a 9. |

You have done an excellent job with everything I see here - composition, color, exposure, processing, and so on. I think your score only suffered because the subject isn't intensely interesting. |

Staccato stilled; bass line lingersby MelethiaComment by chalice: I love the use of perspective and vanishing point in this photo, as well as the colors. What is most creative is the title and its application to the shot. I would not have understood the significance otherwise. (I don't think you used USM too much, either.) This is a 6 for me. |

Parade vendors appeal to all agesby MelethiaComment by tngrndream: hello again,
he he he... my first thought was that some dude just took this to perv the lady. lol.
again, though i like this as a candid. it is not a front page story. maybe in a small town. but i think the front page is more of a large tent or a cool ride.
that is all i have for it. good shot but not photojournalism. imo. |

Light and shadowby MelethiaComment by tngrndream: hello again,
one of my favs. absolutely loved it. i liked the exposure (which had to be spot on in this one) and the position of everything including the sun and shadow. in my opinion you got totally robbed from not getting a ribbon. but that is just my opinion.
dont have anything negative. loved the shot. |
