I like this picture. The color and focus are very strong. The lighting seems a bit harsh to me, though. ...I can imagine the table lamp with the shade removed sitting on the floor just out of the frame. A little softer light would have worked better IMHO. I am one of the 94 who scored this a 6. (Interestingly, I chose an earth tone setting for my shot, too. Yours, however is much better.)

I like the idea of this shot and think it has greater potential than what we have here. Good/interesting angle. I like the curves of the frame. But the cat seems a bit blown out in the face and chest and you lost some detail there. Don't like the pesky lamp in the background, but what are you gonna do. ;)

This was a very good idea. I love the cat. Only a 6 from me though because the lighting is a tad strong and washes out the cats chest a little. I also think you would have scored higher if you removed the lamp that clutters the background. Fun perspective on the cat though and a nice creative idea.

Pretty darn cool. I think the lamp shade in the background is an unnecessary distracting element (and perhaps the steel pole across the top right). Also the cat is a little over-blown (only a touch though). Otherwise the shot is fantastic - such character and such an interesting pose.

Trading Post - I did not vote in this challenge but probabaly would have gone with a 5. You definitley met the challenge with the background bokeh but the pic as a whole does not seem to stand out. Not much color going and with the white flower I think it could have used some more green standing out to frame it in better. Possibly isolating 3 flower heads totally in the shot rather than have a couple of them leaving the frame could have helped with the overall composition. Again - not a bad shot, just not a standout either.

Trading Post - i gave you a 6 on this one, but I am pretty sure that must have been very close to being a 7 (alot of good that does now though right?) Clean simple shot that fit the challenge well. Way to go on catching the fog. I realy like the line that the three lamps make and that only one tree is visible against the slight shadow of more in the background. I do wonder what maybe a slight tint of color would do for this. Congrats on yet another 6+ shot Deb. So when would you officially be out of the middle yourself?
